Déclaration de Rome : Un compromis pour sauver l’unité?!
Dans une déclaration solennelle aujourd’hui à Rome, pour le 60e anniversaire du traité fondateur de l’UE, les 27 vont proclamer leur unité et « avenir commun » face au Brexit. The leaders of the 27 states that will make up the European Union after Britain’s departure have gathered in Rome to reaffirm their support for the bloc. EU national leaders and the leaders of the EU Institutions today adopted a declaration with a bold vision for the future of the Union, at their Summit in Rome to celebrate 60 years since the signature of the original Rome Treaties. The Declaration underlined four major priority areas for future EU development: On this, the Declaration calls for: a Union further developing existing partnerships, building new ones and promoting stability and prosperity in its immediate neighbourhood to the east and south, but also in the Middle East and across Africa and globally; a Union ready to take more responsibilities and to assist in creating a more competitive and integrated defence industry; a Union committed to strengthening its common security and defence, also in cooperation and complementarity with the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, taking into account national circumstances and legal commitments; a Union engaged in the United Nations and standing for a rules-based multilateral system, proud of its values and protective of its people, promoting free and fair trade and a positive global climate policy. |
